Christmas is a Christian faith-based holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. With the spread of Christianity, this and many other holidays, has been enjoyed in many different countries around the world; and while each country and culture has put their own unique spin on Christmas traditions, many of them include Santa Clause, Christmas trees, and gift-giving. Traditional songs or carols, holiday foods, and many other traditions reflect the values of each different culture, making it unique and special for both children and adults that celebrate during the holiday season.
By learning about how each different culture celebrates this joyous holiday we can better connect with people from different countries and enjoy things that we may have in common. We can also incorporate native traditions into our own Christmas celebration to teach friends and family about our backgrounds and make the holiday season even brighter.
