Gift Local was born out of a desire to buy gift cards for local merchants without having to trek out to individual stores. National chain store gift cards are available at gift card kiosks in the mall, at grocery stores, and online. But local gift cards are only available in mom and pop locations, if at all. Gift Local changes that.

The merchants listed on our site all accept Discover card. offers custom gift cards redeemable wherever Discover cards are accepted. So all you have to do is select a merchant, customize the card, and send it off!

How it Works

It's easy. All you need to do is enter your location and search for all of the fantastic local merchants in your area that already accept Discover. Once you find the merchant you want, big or small, simply add the card to your cart, customize and checkout.

Boston, Massachusetts is one of the oldest cities in America. The area offers plenty of interesting tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping spots. Visitors have the opportunity to view scheduled artist demonstrations and each Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. budding artists can spend time drawing in the galleries with a drawing instructor. People who are visiting the Museum of Fine Arts can dine at Bravo, the New American Café or The Garden Cafeteria. The museum also offers a café and wine bar named Taste for those who want to enjoy an espresso or glass of wine.

Boston Freedom Trail: People who want to learn more about the history of Boston can go on a Freedom Trail tour. The Freedom Trail tour includes 16 historical sites including the Old State House and Paul Revere House. The Freedom Trail Foundation offers daily tours from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. People can also go on a free National Park Service Tour led by park rangers. The Freedom Trail is located at 99 Chauncy Street. After the tour, people can visit the Jacob Wirth restaurant, which is located in Boston’s theatre district. The popular restaurant has been in business since 1868. Visitors will love the great menu selections and entertaining atmosphere that the restaurant has to offer.

Fenway Park: People from all over the world visit Fenway Park in Boston, which is known as America’s Most Beloved Ballpark. Fenway Park opened in the spring of 1912 and the stadium is filled with baseball history. Visitors can go on a one-hour walking tour or purchase tickets to an exciting game. Fenway Park is located at 4 Yawkey Way and there are dozens of terrific restaurants located nearby. Tourists can visit Boston Beer Works for a delicious American barbecue meal, the Bleacher Bar for pub food or the Short Stop Deli for a sandwich or sub.
