Gift Local was born out of a desire to buy gift cards for local merchants without having to trek out to individual stores. National chain store gift cards are available at gift card kiosks in the mall, at grocery stores, and online. But local gift cards are only available in mom and pop locations, if at all. Gift Local changes that.

The merchants listed on our site all accept Discover card. GiftCards.com partnered with Discover to offer custom gift cards redeemable wherever Discover cards are accepted. So all you have to do is select a merchant, customize the card, and send it off!

Featured merchants are affiliated with GiftCards.com. All others are listed as a courtesy.

How it Works

It's easy. All you need to do is enter your location and search for all of the fantastic local merchants in your area that already accept Discover. Once you find the merchant you want, big or small, simply add the card to your cart, customize and checkout.

Cleveland once had a poor reputation. Years of constant expansion and rebuilding, however, has turned the former “Mistake on the Lake” into a vibrant, bustling city. If you enjoy unique shopping and great local dining, you should take a trip to Cleveland. The three areas below should not be missed.

The University Circle: If you want a chance to pick up a bit of culture, the University Circle should be your first stop. This location includes easy access to not only the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, but also the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. When you are done soaking up the culture, you also have access to some of the more eccentric dining and shopping options that Cleveland has to offer.

Downtown Cleveland: Fans of architecture should take a day to walk around Downtown Cleveland. The area is home to several bus and walking tours, and some of the country’s most unique skyscrapers and buildings can be found in this area. Many of the city’s more notable dining establishments are located in this area as well, and some of the smaller shops located downtown caters to those with more unique tastes.

A Christmas Story House and Museum: If you have cable, you know the movie. The home from the Christmas classic is located on 11th Street in Cleveland, and it certain deserves a visit. The location is unique to Cleveland, and offers shoppers a chance to buy memorabilia that cannot be found elsewhere.

Visiting Cleveland is a great idea for anyone that wants to take in unique sites and experience great local cuisine. The city has shed its reputation and is growing into one of the top cities in America. Take the time to visit Cleveland, and you will certainly find that the city has much to offer.
