Need Disneyland Tickets?
Are you planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort? If so, you’ll need Disneyland tickets. There’s a new, secure way to buy Disneyland tickets (for less!) while shopping at Target. In the post below, I’ll show you where to find Disneyland Resort tickets at Target, how to buy Disneyland tickets at the Target cash register and (most importantly) how to SAVE on Disneyland tickets at Target.
Here’s all you need to know before you go.
1. Where to Find Disneyland Resort Tickets at Target
If you’ve been to a Target store lately, you know there are a plethora of places to find gift cards. In addition to the monstrously big gift card kiosk at the front of the store, there are also several pop-up stands throughout the store and gift card displays on end-caps too.
Here’s the big rack at the front of the store. You might find the new “Disneyland Ready, Set, SCAN!” cards there, but I had to look further.
If you look at the Lifestyle section of gift cards at the kiosk, you’ll find the regular Disney gift cards. According to the Disney gift card website, “Disney Gift Card can be used for almost everything Disney” including resort tickets, cruises, merchandise and more. And, if you use your Target Red Card to buy this Disney gift card, you will get the 5% discount us Target frequenters know and love.
But that is NOT the gift card that allows you to buy Disneyland tickets at Target.
I’ll show you what you’re looking for next.
THIS is the Disneyland card you need in order to buy Disneyland tickets at Target
In fact, you don’t even need a physical plastic card. You can simply scan the QR code on the card and keep on shopping!
Now let me show you where to find it.
Your store may be different, but in my Target, I found the card that lets you scan and buy Disneyland tickets on an end-cap in the housewares department.
See that end-cap display with the Disneyland mini-poster sticking out? That’s the card you need to buy a Disneyland ticket at Target.
2. How to Buy Disneyland Resort Tickets at Target
Now that you have the right card, the process of ordering a Disneyland ticket at Target is easy.
Here’s what you do.
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
When you find the Disneyland Resort card that says, “Read, Set, SCAN!” or the mini-poster that looks just like it, you will see a QR code. Use your phone to scan the QR code.
When the QR code connects, you’ll be directed to a website (not an app) owned and operated by Blackhawk Network where you can purchase Disneyland Resort tickets and check the park availability calendar.
When you first enter the website, you’ll be asked to confirm your location. By sharing your location you will receive all the pertinent tickets available including special ticket offers. You can opt out of this and still make a purchase but special ticket offers will not be listed.
Next, you’ll see three options–important information, park availability calendar and buy tickets. Please note the following:
- Important Information. This section details what you need to know before visiting Disneyland Resort, including the latest information on required face coverings.
Park Availability Calendar. To get into the Disneyland Resort theme parks, you need a reservation. The park calendar is informational only. You can use it to check park open dates and learn more about current operating procedures.
When you receive your digital tickets, you will be provided a link to make your park reservation. You will need the barcode numbers from the e-ticket to complete the Park Reservation process. If you already have your tickets, you can make your Park Reservation at Disneyland here.
- Buy a Ticket. Here’s where the magic happens. Pick the type of ticket you want to buy, select the number of tickets you need for each age group (up to a maximum of six tickets) and proceed to checkout. I’ll show you these steps in more detail. Keep reading.
Step 2: Select Disneyland Resort Tickets
Choose the type of ticket you want to purchase.
If you confirmed your location when you entered the site, you’ll find special offers here too.
Select the number of tickets you need for each age group. You are allowed to buy a maximum of 6 tickets.
Step 3: Show Barcodes
After selecting the tickets you want, press the button at the top or bottom of the screen that says, “Show me my barcodes.” You’ll be asked to enter the email address that you want the tickets sent to. Once you enter and confirm that the correct email address has been entered, the barcodes for the tickets will be displayed on the screen.
You are automatically given 30 minutes to take those barcodes to the cashier and complete the transaction. However, if the 30 minutes expire, you can hit the “refresh icon” image shown below and new barcodes will be regenerated.
Step 4: Buy Disneyland Resort Tickets
The last step is easy. Take your phone showing the barcodes to the cash registers. Show the barcodes to a cashier or scan them yourself at self-checkout. You’ll see the ticket price show on the Target checkout screen. Confirm you entered the correct number of tickets and complete the transaction.
REMEMBER: Once you scan and select your Disneyland tickets, you have 30 minutes to complete the transaction at the cash register. However, if the 30 minutes expire, you can automatically hit the “refresh icon” image (shown above) and new barcodes will be regenerated.
Step 5: Check Your Email for Disneyland Tickets
Once the transaction is complete and the charge clears your account, the Disneyland Tickets will be delivered via the email address you entered. If you don’t see them right away, check your SPAM or JUNK folders to be sure the tickets didn’t get directed there.
Now all you have to do is enjoy your trip to Disneyland Resorts!
3. How to SAVE on Disneyland Resort Tickets at Target
To save on Disneyland Resort tickets at Target, you simply need to use your Target Red Card to complete the purchase. Doing so will get you a 5% discount on the price of admission. That’s one of the reasons to buy your Disneyland Resort tickets at Target.
Another reason to buy your Disneyland tickets at Target is that you can enjoy a secure shopping experience. The actual resort tickets will be delivered electronically, but you get to swipe your card in person at Target. For Target fans, buying gift cards and Disneyland Resort tickets is just another great reason to head to the red.
Maybe I’ll see you there.
